Lake Pointe Dental

Frustrated with extremely rude Lake Pointe Dental office staff.
Our insurance changed to Humana and when we made our appts for regular cleaning, no one mentioned that they no longer accept Humana. We got billed huge amounts for simple dental cleaning. After trying to talk to them they offered some discounts, but they still want $186 + $10 late fees. I was fed up and called to pay the $186 but this extremely rude person said she could not accept anything less then $196 and she wouldn't accept the $186 payment I authorized, threatened to send me to collections and hung up on me.

Both DrButcher and Murphy are great and I'm happy with all the hygienists, but I'm never going there again.

Love them. Professional, kind, efficient and knowledgeable. Only downside is that good word has got around and they might not be taking new patients.

I truly like the staff here unfortunately there have been mistakes that are causing me to seek a different office. 1. Between my first and second visit they lost my file. 2. Both fillings I've had done there have had issues. I own the fact that I've just tolerated the issues and not brought it up immediately. 3. They billed two different insurance companies multiple times for my last visit. They kept getting denied but had they called the insurance provider I gave them during the visit they would have found that the insurance company already paid them. My HR department learned that in minutes. 4. My HR department also learned that I overpaid during that same visit. Now, I await my refund. Again, I believe the dentist is qualified and I like the staff, but after these issues I've opted to go elsewhere.

Great service from start to finish. Melissa had unmatched attention to detail and offered a useful approach to daily care that worked for me. She also took the time to outline a long term plan that was backed by the knowledge of Dr. Murphy. Most importantly, they both had soft and caring hands.

Oh, and they didnt try to nickel and dime me like my previous Lakeway dental experiance.

Easy to work with on getting appointments. Confirmed an earlier diagnosis without X-rays that a crown was needed &. Got me in for treatment quickly.

Dr. Butcher and Dr. Murphy at Lake Pointe Dental are wonderful people. My entire family visits them regularly. It's hard to find a good Dentist in Austin. For years I visited several dental offices and was disappointed for various reasons. Since a family member referred me to Lake Pointe in 2012ish I've been pleased with the courtesy, professionalism, honesty, fairness and knowledge of the Doctors, Dental Hygienists and Staff. They are all great at Lake Pointe.

Doctor Holly Murphy does a fabulous job. I am delighted with the care she provides. She is easy to talk to, but most of all, her dentistry skills are superb!

Lots of dentists are smart enough to make it through med school, but far fewer have the skills to properly perform dentistry. Holly has both! I cannot be happier.

I would highly recommend Lake Pointe Dental. The staff & both dentists take the time to listen to you and understand your wants and needs especially for someone who has a tremendous fear!! The hygienist are great "GENTLE " but thorough very professional. I see Lezlee she is amazing! Very personable, professional and makes my teeth feel great!

I've been going to Lake Pointe dental for over 7 years. Dr. Holly Murphy and her hygienists are great. The place always looks well kept and parking is easy. Most importantly, they do thorough teeth cleanings and my teeth are left sparkling afterwards.
